In recent years, quantum computing techniques have been rapidly evolving. There are now a number of quantum computer simulators and vendors have plans to rapidly increase the number of qubits on actual quantum computers. Recently, the UK Government has invested in Quantum Computing and the National Quantum Computing Centre has been set-up. This project will:
- Provide an introduction to and evaluation of quantum computing simulators
- Provide an introduction to selected quantum computing algorithms and their applications
- Aim to develop a training course for CCPs/HECs in partnership with a quantum computing simulator provider.
